October 2011 Meeting Photos
Click for biography. On Thursday, 13 October, we hosted our monthly meeting at the Anzio Landing Restaurant. The speaker was Thunderbird Flight's Adjutant, Bill "Shifty" Miller (left), his topic was "FlyingClick for info on the F-106. the F-106 'Delta Dart' in Air Defense Command" (ADC).  Shifty flew the F-106 for several years including a tour as a Weapons School Instructor at Tyndall AFB.  He gave an outstanding presentation on the complex history of the aircraft, starting with the "Cold War" rush to deploy the very limited F-102.  Shifty had some very interesting and funny stories about the F-106 and his experiences flying the aircraft and working in ADC.  Click here for more on the F-106 "Delta Dart".
