On Thursday,
10 November, we hosted our monthly meeting at the
Anzio Landing Restaurant, Falcon Field, Mesa, Arizona.
This was our annual "Pass the Mike" evening -- the speakers were
Col Ed
Harvey, BGen Bud Farrington and Maj Ted Skowronek. Ed and Bud both flew
the
F-105D "Thunderchief" during the Vietnam War -- at the meeting
they each talked about a few of their most interesting missions over
North Vietnam. Ted flew P-47s and P-51s in WW II -- he
discussed his experiences evading the Germans after being shot down
behind enemy lines in France. All three presentations were
very informative and entertaining. |
